I knew Kay from my days in the California Chapter, American Rhododendron Society, and she continued this association until late last year when she left Oakland to live with her daughter in Maine. I also knew Kay, and her late husband Robert, as we were members of the First Congregational Church, Berkeley. Kay was an outstanding lady and had a sharp wit, and she shared generously with friends, Church, garden members, and the community. May she now rest from her labors in eternal bliss. Lawrence V.
