Obituary of Goldie Austin Hood

Goldie Austin Hood, 91, passed peacefully Dec. 19, 2016. Predeceased by her husband Leander, and sons David and Brent, she was the last of the family of Grover and Lucy Austin of Monroe. She is survived by her daughter Karen and husband Jeffrey Williams, sons Wayne and wife Denise, and Erwin and wife Wilda, eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A lifelong resident of Monroe, Goldie was a member of the Loyal Rebekah Lodge and Monroe Community Church. The family plans a celebration of life service in summer 2017.
