BELFAST JOSEPH “DAD JOE” S. CAMERON, 88, passed away November 15, 2016 at Togus. He was born March 22, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts to Christopher and Mary (Hurley) Cameron. He worked at Bailey Factory in Seabrook, NH and has made his home in Belfast since 1983 where he helped out with his family business, Cameron Paving. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion. Joe cherished his family and enjoyed watching old westerns and taking long rides. He is predeceased by both parents; a brother Bill and sister Patience. Joe is survived by his children, James King Sr. and wife Peggy of Wilton, Fred Cameron Sr. and wife Madeleine of Jackson, Theresa and husband David Riley of Belmont; grandchildren, Jamie, James Jr. Betty-Jo, Mary Jane, June, Daisy, Stanley, Ruth Jane, Fred Jr., Lisa, Theresa Mary, Thomas, Josephine, David Jr., Matthew, Michael; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, November 17th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow at Grove Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com.
