Obituary of RoAnn M. Blood

RoAnn M. Blood, 67 of Liberty, passed away November 2, 2016 in Belfast. She was born April 1, 1949 in Camden, Maine to Arthur and Alberta (Acorn) Blood Jr. RoAnn grew up in Morrill and graduated from Belfast Area High School, class of ‘67. She attended the University of Maine at Orono & Appalachian State as an undergraduate. She worked for many years in MSAD #34 as a substitute, gymnastics coach, adult ed teacher & as the JMG teacher. Later in life, she achieved her Master’s Degree from the University of Maine. She worked as a guidance counselor in Searsport, in local elementary schools and most recently she worked as a guidance counselor at Belfast Area High School. She loved spending time with her family & friends, tending to her flower gardens, and watching the birds. Her greatest joy was spending time on the lake, in all seasons, and her time with her grand children! She was predeceased by both parents. RoAnn is survived by her husband, James Luce of Liberty; her son A.J. Dutch of Lincolnville; daughter Lisa Chase and husband Cory of Searsmont; brother Joe Blood and wife Sue; grandchildren Hagen and Ella; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family are invited to memorial visiting hours from 5-7 pm on Saturday November 5th at Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, November 6th at Belfast Area High School. Those who wish may make donations in RoAnn’s memory to the Julie B.
