Obituary of Kathleen D. Schiessl

Kathleen Denise Schiessl, 46, of Brooks, Maine, passed away on September 27 in the presence of her husband and daughters at home after a courageous six-year battle with breast cancer. Kathleen was born on May 2nd, 1970 in New Haven CT. She was employed as a government contractor working for the Maine Army National Guard in various positions for 10 years. Kathleen’s life passion was her three daughters and her husband. She loved traveling, cooking, photography but most of all spending time with her children whom she was so very proud of. She was a woman full of life, love, compassion and grace, known for her positive, witty attitude. She was also known for putting others feelings before her own. Her famous phrase in the battle for her life was “It’s all Good” trying to put others at ease in her struggles. She was truly her husband’s hero and an inspiration to many. Kathleen is survived by her husband Christopher Schiessl of Brooks ME, three daughters, Alyssa Schiessl of Brooks ME, Amanda Schiessl of Jefferson IN, Alexandra Schiessl of Waldo ME, and her son Timothy Champa. Visiting hours will be held from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast where a funeral will follow on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10 am, Interment will follow at 1 pm at Maine Veterans Cemetery Mt.
