Obituary of Edward S. Hodgdon

Edward S. Hodgdon, Sr., 83, of Searsport, passed away Sunday, August 28th, 2016 at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor, Maine. Edward was born on December 5, 1932 to Sidney M. and Abbie (Emmis) Hodgdon. He grew up in Northport, Maine. In February, 1952, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. When he returned to Maine, he worked many years in the poultry industry. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice E. Hodgdon of Searsport and her daughters Ruta L. Barrett of Searsport and Sandra D. Hills of Searsmont; his children Robin Bartlett and Jeffery Hodgdon of Lincolnville, Penny Robbins of Belfast, Regina Parker of South Berwick, Edward Hodgdon, Jr, Terrence Hodgdon and Rhonda McLeod of Stockton Springs. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services are private and under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
