Obituary of Ronald James Roy

RONALD JAMES ROY, 73 Ronald “Ron” James Roy, 73, of Morrill, ME, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 12, 2016 after a 15 yr. battle with ALS. Ron is survived by his two children Ron Roy Jr. and wife Laurie of Morrill, ME, Monique Roy Whitcomb and husband Jerry of South Portland, ME; four grandchildren, Amanda, Christie, Sarai and Kendra; eight great-grandchildren; his sisters Patsy Sheehan of MA, Sandra Roy Ward and husband Donald of Newburgh, ME; Brother, Bobby Roy of Bangor and several nieces and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Leo and Marie; his beautiful wife Carmen of 49 years; his brother James Roy; his nephew Mathew Ward. Ron’s life was centered around family and he will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, fishing, and hunting; for his love of cars and his talented ability to build and repair them; also for his creative skills as a wood worker, builder and carpenter. Funeral service for Ron will be at St. Francis of Assisi in Belfast, ME on Friday at 10Am. There will be a private burial following for family members only.
