Obituary of Gertrude W. Dickey

Gertrude “Trudy” Dickey, 94, daughter of Leslie and Bertha Wentworth went to be the Lord on October 11, 2019. Trudy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She graduated from Middlesex Community College in Connecticut in 1977; lived in Connecticut for 15 years and then Florida for 26 years before moving home to Maine in 2008. While living in other states, Trudy would spend summers with her sister-in-law Ruby Clark in Searsport and other family members. She has been a member of the Lighthouse Bible Church for 20 years. Mrs. Dickey was predeceased by her husband Carl Dickey who passed away in 1984; by her siblings Richard Wentworth, Joseph Wentworth, Louis Eugley, Lucena Josephson, Bernice Robinson, Bessie Russell, Vera Allenwood, Esther Stevens and Barbara Moody. Surviving are her sons, Gary Geraway and his wife J.J., Ronald Dickey and his wife Stephanie, Jeffrey Dickey and Douglas Dickey; her 5 grandchildren, Kelley Dickey, Jessica Bakulski, Laura Dickey, Amanda Dickey, Daniel Dickey and Molly Martin; 2 great grandchildren Tarvia and Alexandra Bakulski; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. A graveside service will be held at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Swanville on Tuesday October 22, 2019 at 1:30 with Pastor Russell Bonin officiating. A brief fellowship will follow at the Lighthouse Bible Church, 86 Prospect St., Searsport, Maine.
