Obituary of Joann G. Wlodyka

Joann (Jo) Wlodyka, 70, of Knox, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019, in Bangor. She was born in East Machias, Maine on April 3, 1949, to the late Warren H. and Winifred Clark Gardner. Jo was a foreman at Eyelet Specialty Company in Wallingford, CT. She was the owner of B.J.’s Bait & Tackle in Meridan, CT; co-owner of The Mill Restaurant Bar and Ice Cream Shop in Belfast, Maine. Later in life, she was the backbone of Warren’s Cannabis Creations in Knox, Maine. In addition to her parents, Joann was predeceased by her sister, Mattie St. Onge. Joann is survived by her husband, Herbert Wlodyka; their son, Robert Wlodyka and his wife Pam; grandson Michael Wlodyka; her sister, Joyce Tower, and many nieces and nephews. Joann’s family will receive relatives and friends from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, October, 18, 2019, at Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast. A graveside service will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Wlodyka Family Cemetery 354 Old County Road in Knox.
