Alan (Al) Floyd Burnham, 79, began his final journey on June 22, 2026. He went peacefully, at his Friendship home, with his wife and soulmate, Wanda "Thompson" Burnham, right by his side.

He was born July 11, 1946, in Rumford, Maine. He graduated from Mexico High school.

Al moved to the coast to work at Maine Yankee as an Asbestos Project Manager where he remained until it closed.
While working at Maine Yankee during the day, he worked as Night Security at Lake Pemaquid Campground, in Damariscotta.
It was there that he met the love of his life, his soulmate, then wife and was blessed to have over 30 years together. He always told people how lucky he was to have her as his wife.

Al was a hard worker and rarely stayed still. After retiring, he continued to work at various places. He worked at Lie Nielson Toolworks, Great Salt Bay School, MSAD 40, The Town of Friendship, Walmart and ending his work life as a dishwasher at Home Kitchen Cafe and Park Street Grill. His favorite jobs were Animal Control Officer because of his love for animals of all kinds and dishwashing.

He loved life and enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved hosting cookouts and pool parties for family and friends. He would often post on Facebook to stop in and enjoy the cookouts if anyone was going by. He welcomed everyone. He enjoyed being a step father to his step sons and often talked about how he missed the days of sports they attended. He said often that he hoped he installed some of the good qualities they both had, especially on how to treat and respect a woman. He loved taking them on camping trips, vacations and long rides with no destination in mind. He looked forward to New Years Eve at Oxford with Timmy and Mikki. He didn't care for playing the slots but enjoyed the get away and watching his wife play. He loved when he and Wanda would just pack a picnic and go for long rides and find the perfect spots to stop, eat and just enjoy each others company. He enjoyed spending time with his adult kids and grandkids and was thankful to be a part of their lives.

He told Wanda that when he passed he didn't want a funeral due the expense and he didn't want people crying over him. He didn't want a celebration of life because he couldn't be there to plan and entertain it. He just requested from her to take his ashes and put them in their "special" places from Maine to Myrtle Beach. He said if anyone wants to remember or honor him, they could put up a bird feeder and make sure they keep the feeders full.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Wanda Burnham, Friendship, Maine, a sister, Randi Brown and her spouse Bill, Myrtle Beach, SC, a daughter Robin Zadakis and her partner Phil smith, Bryant Pond, Maine, a daughter Rachel Burnham, Jay, Maine, a son Randy Burnham, Farmington, Maine and two stepsons, Jason St. Pierre and his companion Cortney Harris, Wiscasset, Maine and Kenny St. Pierre and his partner Megan Moody, Westminster, SC, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Everett and Eleanor (Nonnie) Burnham, a son Ricky Alan Burnham, two younger brothers Teddy and Robert Burnham and his best friend/cousin, Norman Moore Sr.
