Joyce Irene Mosher ,79 passed away in Liberty, ME. June 19, 2026, she was surrounded by her beloved family. Born in Augusta, Me. September 16, 1946, The daughter of John and Myrtle Gray.
Surviving are her widower, Arthur F. Mosher SR. of 56 years. She had 3 children and 1 stepson. Daughter Wendy R. (Gray) Morse; Husband John A Morse of Belmont, ME. Granddaughter Lydia E. (Morse) Hamre, Husband; Ryan Hamre; Great grandchildren Sylas Hamre and Ava Hamre. Son Lawrence F. Mosher; Wife Denise Mosher of Buckfield, ME. Granddaughter Trinity A Mosher. Son Arthur F. Mosher JR; Wife Vicky L. Mosher of Liberty, ME. Grandson Greggory L. Libby Wife Rylee Libby of Waldo, Me. Great grandchildren, Alexis Libby, Eva Thompson, Kaleb Thompson, Emma Dimmitt, Riley Libby, Carter Jones and Brogan-Ray Libby. Grandson Zachary G. Mosher; wife Bridget Mosher of Palermo, ME. Great grandchildren Zepheniah, Gunner, Jupiter, and Judah Mosher. Grandson Brandon E Mosher; wife Rebekah Mosher of Waldo, ME. Great granddaughter Mazie Mosher. Grandson Kaleb E. Mosher; wife Taylor Mosher of Liberty, ME. Great granddaughter Sailor Mosher. She has two brothers. David W. Gray; wife Mary Pauline Gray of SC. Niece Michelle A. Gray, (Nephew Shawn D. Gray deceased). (Frank Gray; wife Jessie Gray deceased) of Winston Salem, NC. Nephew Robert (Bobby) Gray wife Deborah Gray from Boonville, NC. Niece Debra Gray Allred Husband Jody Allred of Kernersville, NC. Niece Julie Gray Singleton Husband Tom Singleton from Lexington, NC. Great Nephew Conner Singleton, Great Niece Rachel Singleton.
Irene attended Cony high school. She then married and worked alongside her husband in their family’s shingle mill. Irene helped run their antique shop in Liberty which sparked an interest in becoming travelling antique dealers. From Maine to Quartzite AZ to Texas and many more adventurous places to find those hidden antiques she so loved. She participated in many town and church dinners; she especially loved cooking at the children's church camps and attending church camp meetings. Her hobbies were oil Painting, cake decorating and attending Gladiolus society of Maine.
Her greatest passion was singing and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The greatest gift she gave to all her family and friends was singing and sharing about her Lord and Savior. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
The family held a private Graveside service with her Pastor Warren Heath officiating.
A celebration of life will be August 1, 2026, 3pm at Crossroads to Calvary Church in Morrill ME. All floral arrangements can be sent to Crossroads to Calvary, 1106 Augusta, Rd. Morrill Me 04952. Memories and condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
