Nick Gerard Pelotte Obituary
Nick G Pelotte peacefully gained his angel wings and joined his 4-legged friend, Bear, on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Nick was born on March 31, 1968, to Larry Pelotte and Jeanette Hachey Pelotte in Waterville, Maine.
Nick attended school in the Waterville and Winslow areas. After graduating from high school, he worked at a variety of jobs, primarily at IP Paper. His last places of employment were Boston Brands Alcohol Distribution Center in Lewiston and Car Quest in Augusta, where he formed many friendships and shared countless laughs.
Nick is survived by his children: his daughter, Ashley and his son Alex. He is also survived by his ex-wife and mother of his children, Coleen; Ashley’s fiancé Jacob, his brother Paul; his stepbrother Mark; and his stepmother, Patti Dwyer. He cherished a deep bond and special love with his partner, Torrie Sprague, with whom he shared his life these past two years.
Nick was incredibly proud of his children and spoke about them daily to everyone he met. He admired Ashley for her drive and determination to succeed, along with her fiancé, Jake. He was equally proud of Alex and his successful career in the Navy. Nick was happiest when he was with his children and wanted nothing more than to see them grow into happy and successful adults.
Nick had a close circle of friends whom he deeply treasured. He was only a call away should anyone require support or a chance to share some good times.
Nick was known for his “Big Nick Energy” and his unforgettable laugh. Being around him always left people feeling better about themselves and about life. He loved riding his German V-Rod Harley, one of his most prized possessions, and had a passion for fine watches and cigars.
Nick’s love for Christmas was unmatched. He knew every Hallmark movie and actor by name and watched them year-round. He took great pride in his Christmas collection, which brought him so much joy. Another one of his passions was food, and he enjoyed cooking for others. Sushi was likely his favorite, and he never missed a chance to encourage others to try it.
Although he was recently nicknamed “One Sip Nick” when it came to drinking, his favorite beverage was undoubtedly pumpkin spice coffee, which he would have happily enjoyed year-round if it were always available. He also enjoyed a good Bloody Mary and valued his collection of inappropriate T-Shirts.
In true Nick fashion, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 28, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Rollie’s in Belfast, Maine — the place where he and Torrie met and shared countless orders of wings and his famous “one beer.”
The afternoon will be a time for reminiscing, laughing, and honoring Nick exactly the way he would have wanted. In honor of Nick, guests are encouraged to wear their best Christmas attire or decorations, or even their most inappropriate T-shirt. Memories and condolences may be shared on his tribute wall.
