Natalie R. Curtis Obituary
Natalie Rose Curtis, born March 5, 1934, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on May 8, 2026 after a lengthy battle with dementia. She was born to Clarence and Lucy Trundy in Searsport, Maine. After graduating from Searsport High School, she married her husband, Dennis Curtis, and would have celebrated their 74th anniversary on August 26, 2026. They raised five children: Barrett, Cameron, Courtney, Tori, and Shannon. Once they were all grown, they continued with joy, looking after their youngest grandchildren, twins Luke and Shelby Searles. So, the house never truly emptied.
She was a member of the Searsport United Methodist Church and UMW group, where she volunteered for church suppers and assisted with quilting and crafts for their sales. She was a devoted cat lover, having adopted and inherited cats throughout her lifetime. Even stray cats would land on her doorstep because they knew she was The Cat Lady.
Natalie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lucy Trundy; brother, Rudolph Trundy (Helen); sons Barrett and Cameron; grandsons Jonathan and Troy.
She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Dennis; son Courtney Jordan-Curtis (Diane); daughter Tori Searles (Scott); son Shannon Curtis; grandchildren Amanda Seekins, Jennifer Littlefield, Curtis Hamilton (Tina), Janelle Cousineau (Christopher), Luke Searles, and Shelby Searles; and great-grandchild Jamar Williams.
Memorial service to be determined at a future date.
