Marie (Sampson) Giggie, 89, of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, April 11 2026 with family at her side. Born in Jackson and raised in Brooks, Marie married the love of her life, Theodore “Ted” Giggie Jr. and moved to Monroe. She was a fixture at the Belfast Co-op for 37 years. Marie was mom and Grandma to many beyond her extended family.

Marie was pre-deceased by her parents Evelyn (King) Sampson and Roy “Sam” Sampson; her husband  of 46 years Ted Giggie Jr. and her brother TK Sampson. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Diane and Ed Nickerson, her sister-in-law Gloria Sampson, brother-in-law Clyde Epperson, her children Royal Giggie, Rose Giggie, Merrilee Giggie-Harris and Scott Giggie as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Marie’s Life is scheduled at 1pm Saturday, April 25th at the VFW in Belfast.
