Joseph R. Saucier Obituary
Joseph R. Donald Saucier, 84 of Belfast, passed away on February 20, 2026, in Belfast Maine. Joseph was born in Guerette Maine to Edward and Priscilla Saucier on July 20, 1941. He joined the United States Army in 1958 and proudly served his country.
Joseph had many jobs during his life, primarily in the construction business. He also served as an animal control officer for many different towns throughout the years. He was a talented man who could build anything and enjoyed working on vehicles as well. Other joys included spending time with family, playing cards, and going out to eat with his daughter.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents; his son Reginald (Chucky) Saucier; his brother Hermon Saucier and by his sisters, Theresa Yelitz and Phyllis Quinn. Surviving are his two daughters; Cynthia Taylor of Dover-Foxcroft and Sherry Brassbridge of Monroe; his granddaughter, Jessica Taylor of Levant; two great grandchildren, Serina Taylor Ghartey of Hartland and Kaylob Ouellette of Levant; his sister Mary Hammond Martin of Oneida NY; his brothers, Edward of Pelzer, SC, Valmont and his wife Diane of Albion, Berthand and his wife Shirly of Searsport, Joseph (Gary) of Belfast, Jerry of Orono, Larry and his wife Mona of Merion Center, PA and Maynard of Windsor Locks, CT; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Services will be held on June 6, 2026, 11am at the Frankfort Congregational Church, 42 S. Main St., Frankfort ME with Pastor Seymour officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Winterport, Maine where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved parents.
