Raymond Morse Sr. September 2, 1936- February 7, 2026
Raymond John Morse Sr. (89) was born to Amon Morse Sr. and Mary Lermond of Northport on their farm September 2, 1936. He loved milking cows and working on the farm. He graduated from Crosby High School in 1957.
On Valentines Day (Feb. 14, 1959) He married Janet Littlefield. They started their family of five and bought a dairy farm in Belmont. As they raised the family and worked with approx. 40 dairy cows/ calves at a time; they held bible studies and baked bean suppers on Saturdays. The yard was always filled with kids, their new beginnings, weddings, births of grandchildren, fancy cars and farm equipment; He loved to ride tractors everywhere this included working in hayfields, his large gardens, mowing lawns on his new 1986 John Deere, and sometimes he could be found just driving his tractors down the road. If it had a motor, or a radio he loved it. He would be also known for wheeling and dealing with all of the above. In 1986 his nephew Richard Morse II traded houses with him and assumed the farming responsibilities.
He is predeceased by his sister Janette Mary Morse who was only 12 years of age when he was five years old. He also had siblings who died as infants. His father and mother; his brother Richard Morse Sr. and his wife Greta of Belmont; Sister Sylvia (Morse) Cushman of New Hampshire; Sister Annie (Morse) Cilly of Belmont, and his sister Isabel (Morse) Maresh of Belmont.

His voice will be missed. The family will treasure his songs of faith (even while in public), He inspired people to have a song in their heart to overcome the trials in life. He was bold to speak about what was on his mind and in his heart and always carried prayers and concern for others. He lived his life for God, his family, and his country. (AMEN! God is GREAT!)
