March 31, 1950 – January 15, 2026

Janice Hooper of Warren, Maine, was born on March 31, 1950, in Morrill, Maine, and passed away peacefully at her home on January 15, 2026.

Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas Hooper; her daughter, Missy Maguire; and several brothers and sisters whom she held close in her heart.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Melanie Keene, and her husband, Matthew Gray; her mother-in-law, Shirley; several brothers and sisters; her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Janice was known for her incredible work ethic and feisty spirit. She worked tirelessly throughout her life, including many years at a shoe factory, and later as a devoted caregiver. Janice provided in-home care to numerous elderly individuals in her community, offering not only assistance but compassion, laughter, and friendship. Caring for others was not just her work—it was who she was.

Janice will be cremated, and a graveside service will be held in the spring to celebrate her life. Service details will be announced at a later date.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.  Memories and condolences may be shared on her tribute wall.
