Dasha Palmer was a joy to know. Born December 18th, 1973, Dasha blessed us with 52 years before passing in her home on December 31, 2025. 

Dasha did not live a conventional lifestyle, but she lived a full one, and those who knew her were happier for it. Dasha held many titles: artist, author, animal whisperer, cleaner, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Being close to Dasha meant endless conversations full of laughter. It meant sharing the spotlight with your pets when she came to visit. It meant she would clean your kitchen for you – despite your protests - while she chatted away about life. Dasha was a selfless and vibrant person who was always trying to do more for others, and yet always felt that it wasn’t enough. The loss that her family and friends are feeling is deep, but we take comfort in knowing that she is no longer living in pain and illness. 

Dasha is survived by her parents, Peggy and Douglas Palmer; her sister, Racquel Hill (and Wesley Hill); her nieces and nephews, Hannah Josselyn (and Christopher Josselyn, and their children Oliver and Norah Josselyn), Jordan Hill, Cassidy Hill, and Tyson Hill; and her friend, Wendi Luther. 

Dasha will be remembered through her art (which was her favorite hobby), for the compassion that she had for animals, and for the loyal and true friendship that she gave to those who knew her. Dasha’s desire was to forego a funeral. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to Safe Harbor Sanctuary, where she spent much of her time caring for rescues.
