To the family and friends of Sister Woodbury,
My heart goes out to you during this difficult moment of loss. Even when a life has been rich in accomplishments, love, and meaningful service, the separation death brings can feel overwhelming. Jehovah understands that pain far better than we do, and he assures us that he is “close to the brokenhearted” and “saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).
As you reflect on the kindness, strength, and contributions Sister Woodbury offered to those around her, may those memories become an anchor—steadying you until Jehovah fulfills his beautiful promise to undo what death has taken. Jesus spoke with full confidence when he said, “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out” (John 5:28, 29). How comforting it is to know that Jehovah has not forgotten even one of his servants, and he holds their lives—every precious detail—secure in his memory.
We look forward to the day when reunions replace goodbyes, when sorrow gives way to joy, and when faithful ones like Sister Woodbury stand again in perfect health, surrounded by the people who loved them most. Until that day arrives, may Jehovah’s spirit give you calm, strength, and moments of peace as you move through the days ahead (Philippians 4:6, 7).
With warm Christian love and heartfelt sympathy,
Kevin Guillory, Jr.
