Don will be missed by all of us at Realty Resources, he is a truly wonderful man, who gave his all to everyone, everyday. We have so many memories, and there truly isn't anyone who worked harder that he did. We are heartbroken, our memories of his caring ways, and work ethic will live on with us. He showed us how hard work pays off, and to love what you do each and everyday. Most of all, that sparkling smile, as he headed out the door, to make a difference in the community he loved so much.

Ive tried posting so here goes again.
Don you will be truly missed by so many.
Your music,Your talent ,Your kindness, Your heart always there for so many.
You and Donna raised 3 amazing sons.
All the memories of the last 50 years even my wedding day.
I could write a book of the memories, but surely would fill the page here.
Some only know you thru music,Some only know you thru Fire Depts, but others know you and Donna thru so much more.
You always took others under your wing and never thought twice about it,your kindness will never be forgotten by anyone.
I still picture you walking on that stage and ready to go.
Your a true Gentleman with a voice that was better then anyone.
We will always remember the good times.
Donna, Eric and Anthony thinking of you, your dad and husband is definitely playing his music in heaven.
Hugs,
April

Sweet Glimpses of Donald “Donnie” Nickerson
• First met: Evangelical church (behind Old Crosby high school) in Belfast, Maine, where I knew him as Donnie.
• He was 3 years older than me and the same age as my sister, Lennie.
• His mom, Geneva, and my grandmother, Luella, were best friends; nana and I went over to their home many times.
• His sister, Dale, and I became lifelong friends
• He was kind and always willing to help even back then. Must have been in his DNA.
• Throughout my adult life, I ran into him at times. He always remembered me.
• Most importantly, he loved the Lord! He was raised in a Bible-believing church and obviously, from his obit, he followed Jesus!
• God gifted him with a beautiful singing voice, too!
• I have many fond memories of him and his family.
I will be unable to attend his Celebration of Life, but please know I will be there in spirit. My husband has another commitment that day and I don’t drive as much as I use to. If my good friend attends, then she can share with me about the day! Posted by Debbie (Lipton) Morin

Many a talk, stories and laughs, drinking coffee over our kitchen table when he managed The Birches in Belfast. My husband also a musician and I loved Don. He will be missed. For Don’s Family—I was one of many Unity College students that Don and Duane befriended back in the early 1980’s when we went to college there. Don was so gracious and my friends and I were so happy to find live music that was country and a little rock and roll. Most of the bands that played for colleges were not our type of music. Donnie and Duane treated us like family and I’ve always remembered both of them fondly at the Jackson Community Center and the Double D Ranch. Rest easy, Don. You are loved by so many and you will never be forgotten. Condolences to the Nickerson family. Steve Tetreault, Unity College 1982-1986.

Donna and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Don was such a steady, faithful presence in our church and in our community. His kindness and gentle spirit touched so many lives. And his energy and voice breathed life into our church. He encouraged and supported me in his quiet way, and I will always be grateful for the love and care he shared.
I’m holding all of you- especially you, Donna- in my prayers. I hope you feel God’s peace and the support of all who were blessed to know him.
With heartfelt sympathy and love

I loved listening to Don sing and with his band. Don was upbeat, courteous, and always had kind words upon meeting. You knew that he loved to play, and wasn't playing for the money, but because he loved it. He will be missed tremendously. My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you, the family and friends. God bless.
