Rodney Turner Cunningham, 52 of Augusta, Maine passed away suddenly at his home on August 03, 2025. He was born on March 10, 1973, in Belfast to Rodney Avery Cunningham and Frances Gertrude Turner.
He was deceased by both of his parents, as well as his younger brother and built in best friend, Jason.
Rodney was a wonderful father, son, and brother. he was considered a God fearing man who hardly ever missed church and loved to teach his children about the bible when he could. His favorite book was Psalms, and he passed Evangelical.
He enjoyed sports. Particularly Boston Redsox and the New England Patriots. Him and his brother Jason would do so much together that collecting cards throughout their youth was just one if the many he would later tell his kids about.
Rodney loved to Fish for Large Mouth Bass, White Perch, and Alewives in which he found an appreciation for Damariscotta Lake from a young age. His favorite time of day was when the Sun was started to set. Especially while listening to the radio.
When his kids were young, he loved teaching them how to catch the big fishes or "The big ones" as he would say. He loved the smiles on their faces when they did.
Rodney is survived by his children Alexander Cunningham of San Diego, California, Avery Cunningham of Camden, Maine and stepdaughter Porsche Gross of Searsport. His siblings Pam Cartier of Augusta, Lisa Lewis of Augusta, Jill Chamberlain of Sury, Susan Fuller of Palermo, Sandra Webber of Reidfield, Mandy Chapman-Dyer of Boothbay, Brett Christianson, Charlie Christianson several nieces, nephews and family.
His service is going to be at the Highland Cemetery in Jefferson at 10am on September 13th. Celebration of life to follow. Place is to be Determined.
