Judy C. Riley passed peacefully with family by her side on July 20th, 2025 at Pen Bay Medical Center following a brief illness.

Judy was born on November 1st, 1938 in Japan and relocated to South Korea a short time later.

She met the love of her life, Glenwood C. Riley in South Korea and was married in May of 1972. She relocated from South Korea to the United States and worked in local factories up until she followed her true passion, Korean cuisine. Judy owned and operated Judy’s Eggroll, a Korean restaurant in Belfast, Maine up until her retirement side by side with her husband, Glenwood.

In her golden years she became a fixture at the local YMCA where she worked out and socialized with others. She would often flex her muscles to show off her hard work. She also attended a Korean church located in Bangor, Maine where she built life long friendships. She loved her family dearly, and remained close with her daughter and grandson up until her passing. 

Judy is predeceased by her father Ui Yong Cho, mother Mal Sun Kim, and Husband Glenwood C. Riley.

She is survived by her  daughter, Sungcha Button and her partner Dave, a grandson, Paul Button, and his partner Heather Collins, step sons Glenwood Riley and his wife Judy, and Robert Riley. Judy also leaves behind several friends and extended family.

A special thank you goes out to the ER staff at Waldo County General Hospital and to the Special Care Unit at Pen Bay Hospital while she was receiving care. A very special thank you goes out to Rachel, from Pen Bay who went the extra mile in making sure our loved one wanted for nothing during her final days. 

She was loved dearly and will be missed.
