Winterport, ME and Elkton, VA – Cherish Ina Lang, 49, died unexpectedly June 27, 2025, at home.

She was born April 10, 1976, at Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, IL., the daughter of Calvin Lang and Vicki (Frost) Johnson.

Cherish attended Frankfort Elementary and Searsport High school where she graduated in 1994. She lived in Florida, Maine and for many years Virginia. Cherish was a medical secretary for many years. She had a truly kind heart and soul, and she was generous to a fault. Cherish’s whole life revolved around her daughter and the world of music, “her world of music,” concerts, friends, and repeat.

Cherish was predeceased by her grandparents, Jim and Jan Fairbrother, Dougald Lang, and Hazel Newland; her stepfather, Roger Johnson; her stepmother, Linda Lang; and two stepsiblings, Brandi Butterfield and Kenny Butterfield.

In addition to her parents, Cherish is survived by her husband Dennis Click, her beautiful daughter Layne Morrison Click, her brother Matthew Lang and partner Thelma Catlett, stepsister Roxanne Johnson and partner Jon Kinney, and stepsiblings Randy Butterfield and wife Becky, and Kim Campobasso and husband Tom. A very special aunt, Julie Otting, Uncle Micheal Frost and wife Joy, Uncle William Morrison, and wife Lynn. She is also survived by her in-laws Dennis and Katie Click and brother-in-law Patrick Wilkins and wife Kim. Her best friends Todd Mason, Jennifer & Jessie Stewart, her “favorite” Uncle Bob Rawson and “Godmother/Aunt” Olivia Scott-Hartman, her beloved pets Cha-Cha and Gala Apple, her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Frankfort Congregational Church, 42 S. Main St, Frankfort, ME at 2:30pm with Pastor Tom Seymour.
