Janet Irene Brown, 91, of Swanville, passed away on June 21, 2025, at WCGH in Belfast, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Thomas and Grace (Ryder) Clements on February 20, 1934, in Newburgh. Janet married Maurice Brown on Sept. 25, 1950.

She was a member of the Swanville Community Church and enjoyed her time as a devoted mother and homemaker.

Janet enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, baking, bingo, watching Walker Texas Ranger, and spending time with family, especially on the 4th of July and Christmas.

She was predeceased by her husband Maurice, four sisters, and two brothers.

Janet is survived by her son Dean Brown and wife Terrie of Monroe, daughter Marie Marshall of Franklin, daughter Theresa Bunker and husband Mike of Swanville, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on July 8, 2 pm, at the Swanville Community Church.
