Aunt Phoebe, a good and faithful servant of the Lord. A mentor and faithful friend to me. Through 53 years of prayer, laughter, and tears. She was always there for me. Someone I could count on and confide in. She always made time for me when I needed her, which was a lot over the years. I knew I could trust with anything. I love and miss her very much, and feel a great loss. But I know I will see her again soon, when I go to be with our Blessed Savior too.

I loved Phoebe's giggle. Even after her diagnosis, she would make little jokes and giggle often during our conversations. I will hear it forever.
Growing up in our seacoast town, we had a neighborhood grocery store not far from our house. The owner was Clarence Watt. He always welcomed the kids into his store to buy penny candy and such. His nickname for Phoebe was "PC".
When he started calling me "Little PC" I remember feeling so proud and happy about it.
I loved listening to Phoebe and Verlene sing in church. Their voices blended so well. I hoped one day that I could sing in church, but I didn't have that talent. However, her sweet granddaughter, Polly, certainly does and she sings for the glory of God just like her grandma!

Phoebe “my GREAT”.
Technically my great aunt by birth, but to me she was, is and always will be my dear, precious GREAT. When you look up the definition of “great” you find by its very definition means an important or distinguished person. That is my GREAT Aunt!
Phoebe was always there for me, through every chapter of my life. She attended my very first school play, every church play and recital, she was there to encourage and cheer me on.
She planned my Sweet 16 party, my wedding, my baby shower (that we didn’t get to have because Olivia was a month early! )
Every major milestone she was there! Gerry and her took my graduation pictures and wedding pictures.
She never missed a birthday and I always looked forward to my birthday morning call from her. She would sing me happy birthday, that I will forever miss.
She always threw the best Christmas Party! Going to miss those yankee Swaps!
Everything she did, every single detail was carefully and thoughtfully planned out with love.
Phoebe was my go to for advice. The one I’d call when life threw a curve ball and we really needed prayer. I always knew I could count on her! I’ll miss her advice, her hugs, her prayers and her laughter!
I have been so blessed to have my GREAT Aunt Phoebe!
I am so thankful to know this isn’t “good bye” but simply “see you later”
Can’t wait to hug her again someday!

Phoebe French was one fine lady. Dedicated mom, grandmother, sister, wife, servant to our Lord and friend who was always present in conversation and full of helpful ideas. I was blessed to have her as a neighbor for more than 48 years and walking companion for many years. Her Christmas poems & many others are cherished. Here's a portion from her poem Life's Path.
The path of life is a winding one,
Then there comes the day of the setting sun.
For those left on the pathway still,
Loving memories your hearts do fill!
Rest in Peace my friend.

Phoebe was such a faithful prayer warrior she never testified without declaring we need to pray she was as youthful in a church service as a teenager and we've had many conversations together and sometimes she would lay some discipline on me haha and sometimes she would let me speak to her always with encouragement because she loved her little Gabriel and we would talk about him a lot because she wanted to see him well so badly and I told her every time I pray everyday for him and she would get teared up and say thank you I will miss her dearly she has been a part of my life for a long time but I know I will see her again shortly if I will remain faithful

Our beloved sister has gone to be with the Lord. No doubt she was greeted with the words”Well done my good and faithful servant” What a great void she has left in her family, siblings , church and all that knew her. However, what great memories she has left behind. ! . She was a real prayer warrior anf used to arise everyday at 4am to be alone with God and pray for her country, family, church , her prayers will be missed by us all! It is a blessing to know that she is rejoicing in heaven with other family members and firend who had gone on before.. She was not only my sister but a great friend. I will be glad to see you soon! I love you Lorena ,oldest sister
