Ora Annie Porter Obituary
Judy (Ora) Porter of Thorndike passed away March 30 at 95 years old.
She was born February 21, 1930 in Knox, Maine. She is the daughter of William and Pearl (Carmichael) Raven. At the age of 13 her family moved to Thorndike. She attended Knox grammar school for seven years and graduated from 8th grade in Thorndike. She graduated from Freedom Academy in 1948.
She worked on the family farm for many years picking potatoes, haying and other chores.
In October 1953 she married Guy Porter, always saying this was “the best day of my life.”
She is predeceased by her parents, several siblings and her son Guy Porter Jr.
She is survived by her daughters Nancy Bradeen and Betty Alexander, her sister Minnie Raven, multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
