Sandra M (Hills) McLellan 82 of Searsmont went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 15, 2025. Sandra was born on February 14, 1943 in Belfast to Alice (Staples) Watson and Glen Hills.

Sandy moved to Connecticut where she met her best friend Anne Rice and Anne’s brother and future Husband Aubrey (Mat) McLellan. She followed Mat to Texas where they were married and had their daughter Tammy. Because Mat was serving his country in the Army, Sandy and her family traveled all over the United States to Alaska, Washington State, Virginia and many other places. When Mat retired from the Army they settled in Connecticut and made so many wonderful and long lasting friends. Later Sandy and Mat retired to Maine and Tammy soon followed.

Sandy was very active in her community where she met her fiancé Bruce Brierley who made her very happy. She started a Brownie troop, helping with the Searsmont Parks and Recreation department and her pride and joy the Searsmont Memorial Day Parade which she ran with blood, sweat and tears for over 10 years.

Sandy was predeceased by her parents, her husband Mat, fiancé Bruce, many Aunts and Uncles, nephews Danny and Dickie Read, step daughter Nancy McLellan.

She is survived by her daughter Tammy Lewis and Husband John, Granddaughter Rachel Cole and Husband Alex, Great Granddaughter Aubrey, Sisters Nancy, Betty, Beverly, Pat and Pam, brothers Rusty and Gary, Step Daughter Bonnie Poirier and husband Paul, Step Granddaughter Melissa, Step Granddaughter Kate Stockdale, Close family David Nelson and adopted in love daughters Samantha Moore and Kandy Niles and fiancé Sean, Sister in Law Anne Rice and Brother in law Robert Donnelly, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her furbaby Dixie.

There will be no service or funeral per Sandy’s request.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date
