Bud's celebration of life has calling hours from 1-2, followed by the Service and then a Reception at the Church’s Community Building after the Service.

Obituary of Thurman A. Millett

Thurman “Bud” Ansel Millett, aged 90, of Stockton Springs, Maine went to Heaven from the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor on March 13, 2025.  He was born in Lincoln, ME on March 28,1934 to June Leathers Millett and Thurman A. Millett. After High school he served three years in the Navy during the Korean War on the USS New Jersey.  Bud met, his wife, Lorraine in 2001 in Searsport and were married on September 25, 2002. They spent many years traveling around the country, visiting relatives and exploring new places. 

 

 He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Doucette of Stockton Springs and his three children. Michelle Warhola of Bangor and Shelley Boss and husband Ralph Boss of Florida and his son Ed Millett and wife Becky Millett of Mapleton. He is also survived by his stepchildren. Linda Mae and Harry Patterson of Swanville, Douglas and Amanda Doucette of Stockton Springs and William and Geneva Doucette of Swanville.

 

Between them Bud and Lorraine have sixteen grandchildren: Kristie Hamlin, John Michael Kiel, Stephen Kiel, Anna Babette, Maryann Boss, Danielle Boss, Isaiah Boss, Kyley Haynes, Brian Doucette, Melissa Hebert, Michael Doucette, Jennifer Sweeney, Malinda Doucette, Harry Patterson, Jr., Ethan Patterson, and Troy Patterson. And many great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews. Would like to acknowledge and Thank two special nieces, MaryAnn Douglas of Connecticut and Pam Poliquin of Brewer.

 

He was predeceased by his first wife Wilda, mother of his three children, his parents and three sisters.

 

He worked as a paper maker at Great Northern Papers Company in East Millinocket for thirty-three years. He was a devoted friend of Bill W for forty-two years.  He was also an avid motorcyclist from his teens into his seventies.

 

On Saturday, March 29th, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Stockton Springs Community Church, 44 Church Street, Stockton Springs, Maine. Calling hours will be from 1-2pm with a Service immediately following.   There will be a reception in the Church’s Community Building after the Service.
