Obituary of Joyce Ann Philbrook

Joyce Ann Philbrook, 77, of Belmont, Maine, passed away on March 4, 2025, in Rockport after a long illness with Alzheimer’s and bladder cancer.

Joyce was born in Belfast, Maine to Isabel and Lewis Brown on September 15, 1947. She went to high school at Glen Cove Christian Academy, and she graduated in 1966. She went on to earn a CNA certificate from Midcoast School of Technology. She worked as a CNA for Quarry Hill in Camden, Maine for 38 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed taking long car rides with her husband. She enjoyed birdwatching and search-a-word. She enjoyed ATV riding with her husband.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 37 years, Wes, of Belmont; her daughter Melissa of Waterville; her son James of Belfast and his significant other Amy; her grandchildren Kimberly and Jordan; and her great-grandchildren Juniper and Josie.

She is predeceased by her mother Isabel, her father Lewis, and her sisters Lois, Sara, and Beverly.
