Jeanine Brindle

Obituary of Jeanine L. Brindle

Jeanine L. Brindle, 3/2/1945 - 3/1/2025

Jeanine L. Brindle, beloved wife of Barry J. Brindle Sr. for 61 years, passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2025, two hours before her 80th birthday, at her home in Maine with her loving family by her side.  She was the devoted daughter of the late Rose (Prive) and Gerard Lamoureux.

She was the much-loved mother of Barry Jr. (Ann) of Belfast, Maine, Michelle Morse of Marlborough, CT, and Dawn Brindle of Salem, CT; the  best grandmother ever of Gabrielle, Jay, Jessica, Laurel, John, Tony, Andy, Mabel, Kayla, and Brandilyn; and an amazing great-grandmother of Lila, Arjay, Isla, and Desmond.

Jeanine was a 1963 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown, CT.  During her life, she was a Sunday school teacher, a Boy Scout leader, a professional cake decorator, a secretary, a real estate agent, a US Postal Worker, a video store owner, a restaurant owner and cook, an OR Nurse, and a Hospice Nurse.

Jeanine loved the ocean, sunsets from the pier, building sand castles, and teaching all kids to make funny faces; she loved Neil Diamond, quilting, reading, photography, gardens, plants, and all things nature.  She had a quirky little way of twisting her hair between her fingers, she loved to send the most “personal” (and utterly embarrassing) gifts to be opened by every bride-to-be at her Bridal Shower, she was the Scrabble Champion of the world, she loved yellow roses and did not like chocolate—at all…

She was the best Thanksgiving Chef and Memorial Day BBQ’r, who taught us all how to cook and bake, though she might stand over your shoulder as you did so just to make sure you didn’t miss an ingredient or step.

Throughout their life together, Jeanine and Barry enjoyed traveling and living in various places throughout the states, including CT, VA, NC, FL, and ME.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by siblings Gerard Jr., Rosemarie, Marcel, Robert, and Claire.  She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. and family members who loved her dearly”.
