Kevin Alton Cookson, 65, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on February 11th, 2025 in Augusta. Born on July 24th, 1959 to Sherman and Joyce Cookson.

Kevin spent his early years in Burnham before enlisting in the United States Navy, where he saw the world. Upon his exit from the military, Kevin returned home where he spent his remaining years working as a skilled tradesman and was known for his impressive carpentry skills.

Kevin was an avid sports fan, rooting especially hard for the Patriots and Red Sox, and his hometown MCI Huskies. The central focus of Kevin’s life was his large, close-knit family that he loved very much and cherished every opportunity to spend time with.

Kevin’s road in life was not always easy, but even in trying times, he was a bright light to those who knew him, and he will missed fiercely every day. Kevin is survived by his daughter Molly, and husband Cody of Skowhegan, son Matthew and significant other, Erika of Bangor, Sister Mary and husband Shawn of Burnham, sister Melissa of Newport, several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Sherman and Joyce.

Kevin will be reunited with his favorite four-legged companion, Duke.

There will be no service at this time, Family will have a celebration of life in the spring.
