Shelly Oviatt Kereluik posted a condolence
Tuesday, February 18, 2025
I'm Shelly (Oviatt) Kereluik in California now. When Lisa arrived in heaven it became a little better, a little brighter, a little more joyful. I sent Lisa a message once telling her how much I love her posts because the frequent posts made me feel connected to home and I also told her that I feel much closer to her through her posts, the way that her warmth and strength would shine through in her posts inspired me. She replied with a sweet message that was filled with warmth and encouragement, and she was touched that I reached out to let her know how much her posts meant to me. I am so glad that I sent her that message to let her know what she meant to me.

Lisa is my cousin, I was talking to by responding to post she posted near daily on Facebook of which most of the time she responded to me. I am quite in shock when I noticed a post on facebook that would lead me to think something was wrong so I contacted a couple of ladies attached and one responded and confirmed my fear. Deeply my heart goes out and is with Bonnie and Stephanie and absolutely to ALL the family. Her grandfather, Linwood Frederick Nickerson, is the eldest brother to my father, Lester Arnold Nickerson, the youngest of six sons to Marshall and Florence Myrtle Smart Nickerson. I lived with Marshall and Florence till I was round eight years old, I love them dearly and have five 8 x 11 photos of them on my walls. My uncle Lin, Paul, Ted and dad took me deer hunting on Mt. Waldo. I am tired of life doing this to my family and friends especially to the younger ones we tend to not expect this happening too. Lisa seemed to be doing well and I was certainly not expecting something like this to happen. I pray the family will except my love for them all as I swear it’s always been there. I have a database that has over 3100 Nickerson’s in it and all my Burnham family are there so there has been hardly a day I haven’t thought about Lisa and the family there. I love you all, I do. Please keep the light on for me as I want to be there.

I met Lisa on the internet due to our mutual love for Led Zeppelin, almost 20 years ago. We kept in touch throughout these years, and Lisa has always been the most lovely and kind woman. Her strengh and love for life were astounding and an inspiration for everyone who has had the lucky to have Lisa in their lives. I am so very sorry for your loss and I send my love and prayers on your way. Love from Sao Paulo, Brazil, from Celia Hueck

My sincerest condolences to Lisa's husband Freeman and her entire family. Lisa made me feel welcomed when I left Bermuda to attend MCI and we graduated together. We have remained friends all these years and I'll never forget when I visited her and she took me to a Christmas shop. She had never seen a receipt so long (lol). Through it all she was an inspiration to many and I'll never forget her. Heaven has definitely gained an Angel. SIP Sis.
