Dana Raymond Bachelder passed away at his home on February 1st. He was born to Raymond and Kathleen Bachelder on August 6, 1952 in Belfast, Maine.

Dana was a character. From a very early age he loved working on anything mechanical. Trucks, tractors and cars were “puttered” on every chance he got. In his adult years he worked in carpentry and as an auto mechanic in Florida, Connecticut and Maine. His skills were well respected.

Dana loved his family, especially his many nieces and nephews. Whoever quipped the phrase “he would give you the shirt off his back”, was literally referring to Dana. He would do anything for his friends and family.

Dana was pre deceased by his parents and his brother, David Bachelder. He is survived by three sister: Julie Burwell and her husband Chuck, Jan Weaver and her partner Charles Pray, Jill Bachelder and her partner Jim Hines.

He is also survived by his daughter Jessica Blood and her family.

There will be no service per Dana’s request. We will have a celebration of his life in the summer.
