Vivian Yoshico Turner Obituary

Vivian Yoshico Turner, 100 years, of Unity, ME, passed away January 13, 2025, at her residence.  She was born June 1, 1924 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of the late Gihei and the late Juno Nishida.


She was a Taxi driver and owned her own taxi business, East Greenwich Taxi.  Vivian was predeceased by her son, Steven Edmiston, and Husband Richard Meckes. She is survived by her children: Robert Nishida, Barbara Turner, Harry Edmiston, James Edmiston, Cheryl Abruzzese, Jerome Turner, and Richard Meckes Jr. his wife Debrah Meckes and their daughter Pricella D'amico and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Vivian's memorial service will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Waterville at 10 am on May 22nd. Her graveside service will take place afterward at 1:00 PM at Fowler Cemetery on Albion Rd, in Unity.
