Obituary of Jeanette Ruth Linsey

MORRILL

Jeanette Ruth Linsey, Dec.10, 1941- Dec. 5, 2024, 82, of Morrill, Maine went to be with Jesus after a year-long illness.  Jeanette was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to George and Margaret (Thompson) Linsey.  After completing high school, Jeanette attended Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada to prepare for a life of ministry and service to others.  Jeanette was called to the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship, and she served in CEF for nearly 60 years helping people take the Gospel to children, first in Washington State, then in British Columbia, Canada, and then for the remainder of her life in Maine along with her co-worker Irene Wynn who passed on in January of 1996.  Jeanette and Irene worked in the Central Maine Chapter of CEF, and then 12 years ago, Jeanette began as interim director of the Western Maine Chapter of CEF.

Jeanette’s great passion was to teach the Bible to people so they might in turn pass the truths of God’s word on to boys and girls and mums and dads.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Linsey, her co-worker, Irene Wynn, and a nephew, Iain Linsey.  Jeanette is survived by her siblings: Eunice (Robert) Kruse; Lois (Norman) Kruse; Pearl Dyck; Mary (Gary) Wilcutt; Ann (Dale) Ducommun; and Byron (Joan) Linsey along with nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her “adopted kids” - Tom and Nancy Buzzell, David and Shirley Diepenbrock, and Calvin and Michele Morin and their families.

A memorial service will be held at Veracity Chapel in Morrill, Maine on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2 o’clock pm with John Romano Officiating.
