Obituary of Rosanna Lynn Sherer

Rosanna Lynn Anderson, born on July 15, 1963, passed away on November 22, 2024, in Belfast, Maine. Rosanna was a cherished member of her family and community, known for helping others through her work in nursing and insurance. She was born in Houlton, Maine and grew up in Waldo County, where she cultivated a lifelong love for family, friends, and animals; she settled in Northport, Maine to raise her children. 

Rosanna was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Anderson, and her father, Richard Anderson, as well as her beloved pets including Zack and Sophie. She leaves behind her loving children, Angus and his wife Bonnie, Emily and her husband Brandon, and Wyatt, and their father Steven Secotte, and her devoted mother, Geneta Rose Anderson. Rosanna is also survived by her siblings, Tessa and her husband Jon, Mark and his wife Diane, and Ken and his wife Carrie. Her nieces and nephews, Jake, Luke, Connor, Carolyn, and Andi, will fondly remember her as the best aunt. Her pets, Winnie, Putty, and Uno, were her constant companions.

Rosanna was an easygoing soul, but a hard worker admired for her integrity. Her colleagues at Varney Agency in Searsport, Maine, will remember her as dedicated coworker and a loyal friend. Rosanna was an honorary mom to many, and an incredible support system for anyone who needed it. She was happiest spending time with her children and family; she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly tending to her home and garden, reading a good book, and enjoying annual camping trips at Lake St. George. Her love for babies was evident, and she was recently blessed with Ivan and Iris in her life. 

Rosanna's legacy as a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend will be celebrated in a gathering planned for the summer of 2025. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
