Obituary of Paul H. Brown

Paul H. Brown, 69 of Swanville, died peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday August 6, 2022.  He was born on May 9th in Belfast Maine to the late Ernest and Hope Brown. 

Paul led an active life starting with wrestling in High School where he was state champion.  He was a National Canoe champion numerous times with his partner George Walsh.  Paul was also involved with the MACKRO community and will be missed by his paddling friends and family.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed taking young hunters out and was very proud that he had just shot his age at the County View Golf Club.

Paul was predeceased by his parents.  Surviving are his daughter, Margot Brown; his siblings, Nancy Maddocks and husband Kenneth, Penny Read and husband Dean, Ernest “Skip” Brown and wife Lori and Rebecca Russ; nine nieces and nephews and his dog Brogan.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 17at the Waldo County Shrine Club (20 Northport Ave, Belfast, ME 04915) from 1pm-4pm for friends and family.
