BENTON -- June Marie Holt Scribner of Benton passed away Feb. 25, 2011 after a short illness with lung cancer. She was born 1926, the daughter of Harvey D. and Doris (Goodwin) Holt. She graduated from Lawrence High School, class of 1943. She married Maurice F. Scribner Sr., on April 3, 1965. She is predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Maurice Scribner Sr.; her daughter, Valerie J. Cooley; parents Harvey & Doris Holt; brother Harvey W. Holt and wife Juanita; sister Mildred and husband Stuart Robertson; infant brother Harlow; nephew Donald Robertson and cousin Hollis Fowler. She is survived by special niece Rebecca (Holt) Turlo and her family; stepson Maurice and his wife Elizabeth Scribner Jr. and his family; niece Jane (Holt) Fitzgerald; nephew Scott Robertson; granddaughter Johanne Cooley; great-grandson Thomas Cooley; and cousins Roger and Jay Holt, Dorothy Chapman and Helen Cook, Valerie and Roberta Fowler. She is also survived by special friends Delmar and Ann Clark, Herbert Strickland, Al and Roberta Stachel, Bruce Lambrecht and family, Tref Lessard and Mary White.
