EDWARD THOMAS GAUDETTE, 92 of Belfast, passed away on May 20, 2012 in Bangor. He was born on September 21, 1919 in Bath, the son of Henry Joseph and Mary (Robichaud) Gaudette. He was an Army veteran of World War II, stationed in 16 countries during his three years of service. He was awarded the Middle Eastern Service Medal, China Burma India Service Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and two Service Stars. Edward was district manager for 25 years for Endicott-Johnson and was a partner in the Nashua, New Hampshire Saab-Subaru dealership where he retired in 1984 when he moved to Belfast. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Belfast. He is predeceased by his parents; seven brothers and sisters; a grandson Robert Moran. Edward is survived by his wife of 65 years, Althea (Condon) Gaudette; daughter, Norma Jean Ware and husband Daniel of Biddeford, Gloria Kandetzki and husband John of Searsport, Joyce Ashmore and husband Colby of Florida and Maine, Cheryl Sinclair and husband Daniel of Ellsworth; eight grandchildren, Michael Turcotte, John Turcotte, Matthew Gagnon, Wendy Martin, Kurt Kandetzki, Gail Wenstrom, Lisa Anderson, LeeAnn Sinclair; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the ICU at EMMC for the wonderful care he received. Private services will be held at a later date.
